In the halfway through the 15th edition of IPL. Indian Cricket has seen some talented emerging cricketers inform of Aayush Badoni, Tilak Varma, Vaibhav Arora and many more. One of them is Umran Malik.
Umran Malik was seen in action in the latter half of the 2021 season. He got three matches to play for the Hyderabad franchise. In those three matches, he impressed everyone with his pace.
Later he was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad as one of the three retained players for 2022. In 2022, he has improved more than the previous season and has impressed former Indian spinner, Harbhajan Singh. Later this year in October the T20 World Cup is scheduled to be played in Australia, and Harbhajan Singh has backed an uncapped player to be selected for the big tournament.
Match by Match the performance of Umran has just gone upwards. In the recently concluded match against Punjab Kings, on Sunday in Mumbai, he grabbed a lot of attention and spotlight as the pacer went on to bowl a triple-wicket maiden in the final over of the first innings to restrict Punjab to a below-pr score of 151.
He became only the third bowler after Lasith Malinga and Jaydev Unadkat to bowl a wicket maiden in the 20th over of a game and only the second after Malinga to do so in the first innings of a game. In that Match, Umran picked four wickets and gave 28 runs in his 4 over quota, and was awarded Player of the Match.

He is the most deserving in T20 World Cup team
After his extraordinary performance against Punjab Kings, Harbhajan Singh made a big statement while Speaking to Star Sports, where he stated that he is the “most deserving one” to be part of the T20 World Cup team.
*Harbhajan Singh said, “This (Blue) is the only jersey missing and he should get it early. I feel he is the most deserving one who should be selected to play for India in that T20 World Cup in Australia. He could be your match-winner there.”
