David Wiese South African all-rounder started playing for Namibia for the upcoming t20 World Cup that is going to be held in UAE and Oman this year.
David Wiese was a part of the south Africa t20wc squad of 2007. David Wiese gets limited opportunities in South Africa cricket so he decided to sign the Kolpak deal which enables him to join Namibia cricket and he adds good support to the teams he is a reliable all-rounder and also PART OF RCB in IPL and helped the team to reach the playoffs.

36 Year All-Rounder has impressive batting and his long height makes him a lethal bowler. Everyone is interested to see him play for Namibia and Namibia has round 1 fixture and hope they will qualify for super 12 and move forward to the main event.
Pierre de Bruyn revealed that Wiese is eligible to play for Namibia due to his father, who was born in the country.
“David’s dad was born here, so he’s eligible to play for Namibia. He’s playing in the T20 Blast in England, but will join us after that and is also available going forward after the World Cup, so I’m super excited about that,” said De Bruyn.

“His team, Sussex, are in the quarterfinals so we must see how far he gets there, but I hope he will be able to join for the Free State trip at least. With the experience of playing in various T20 leagues around the world, including the IPL, he will be hopeful of making an impact with his new international team,” he further added.
Kolpak deal
Kolpak deal in cricket states that the players belonging to the countries that have deal with the EU can participate in any cricket tournament in an EU country without being considered as an overseas player so after signing the Kolpak deal David Wiese is available to play for Namibia and Namibia government issue a statement by saying that Wiese father is born in Namibia so we are privileged to welcome great all-rounder.

David Wiese Career Profile
David makes his t20 debut against Sri Lanka on AUG 8 2013 and played his last t20 match against Sri Lanka in March 2016. David makes his ODI debut in Aug 2015 vs NEW Zealand and plays his last ODI in February 2016.
He played 26 international matches and took 33 wickets and his best score with the bat is 41 although he does not get too many opportunities but if he gets he may perform more efficiently. He played 124 FC matches and scored 5814 runs and took 208 wickets which clearly shows his capability. We wish him all the best for the future.
