David Warner Marks A Special Entry Ahead of The Clash vs Sydney Sixers
Following his farewell Test match against Pakistan last week, David Warner decided to participate for Sydney Thunder in the proceeding BBL fixture. Warner arrived at the Sydney Cricket Ground ahead of the marquee clash in style, through a helicopter. The Southpaw entered the venue a couple of hours before the commencement of the fixture and was welcomed by the local press with cameras.
David Warner, reportedly, was at his brother’s wedding and opted to travel through a commercial chopper in order to reach the venue in time. The 37-year-old is expected to play a key role in Syndey Thunder’s remaining matches this season. With only 1 victory off 7 matches, Thunder currently rank penultimate in the points tally with mere 3 points. The Sydney-based team is unlikely to qualify for the playoffs, with 3 more games left in this season.

Here’s what Sydney Thunder pacer Gurinder Sandhu said upon David Warner’s arrival in the BBL 2023-24:
“He is going to put in a lot of effort to come and play for us. We love having him here. Last year, he was awesome for us, maybe he didn’t score as many runs as he would have liked but around the group, and passing on knowledge was awesome to have him around. He’s one of the better teammen. All the fans get to enjoy him playing cricket.”
