Custom officials in UAE seized the Hardik Pandya’s luxurious watches which are worth 5 crores. He bought Patek Philippe Nautilus Platinum 5711 watch which is expected to be worth around 5 crores. Hardik Pandya bought two watches and both price more than five crores each.

Customer officials in UAE see the unlawful purchase of Hardik Pandya as he doesn’t have the invoices for such purchases. According to the norms of customs department you can’t process anything without an invoice. Being purchase a whooping price watch Hardik Pandya must have a bill for that watch. Now official sees the watches of Hardik Pandya and expected loss of Pandya around 10 crores.

Hardik Pandya is a part of India’s squad for the T20 World Cup 2021. While returning home his shop his favorite brand watches but the watches have now been with custom officials in UAE. Twitter is trolling Hardik Pandya for wearing such a whooping amount of watches.

Hardik Pandya give clarification on his purchase

Hardik Pandya on Twitter recently released a statement regarding his purchases, “I voluntarily went to Mumbai airport customs counter to declare the items brought by me and pay the requisite customs duty. Wrong perceptions have been floating around on social media regarding my declaration to customs at Mumbai airport, and I would like to clarify what transpired,” Hardik’s statement read.

“I had voluntarily declared all the items that I’d lawfully purchased from Dubai and was ready to pay whatever duties that needed to be paid. As a matter of fact, the customs department asked for all purchase documents which were submitted; however customs is doing the proper valuation for duty which I’ve already confirmed to pay,” he said.

“The cost of the watch is approximately Rs 1.5 crore and not Rs 5 crore as per the rumors floating around on social media. I’m a law-abiding citizen of the country and I respect all government agencies. I’ve received all the cooperation from the Mumbai customs department and I’ve assured them of my full cooperation and will provide them with whatever legitimate documents they need to get this matter cleared. All allegations against me of crossing any legal boundaries are totally unfounded,” he added.
