Even at the age of 41 yrs, West Indies player Chris Gayle is still quite flexible in his movements on the field. He has proved it again that age is just a number after he did a Cartwheel on field in the celebration of a wicket. Chris Gayle almost did a summersault after dismissing South African opener Reeza Hendricks in the fourth T20I at the NationalCricket Stadium, St George’s, Grenada.
However he didn’t performed well with the bat but with the ball and on field he was quick as a 20-year-old. After the South African opener Reeza Hendricks got stumped, Chris Gayle looked at the field and performed a Cartwheel in the celebration of the wicket. However, the show didn’t end there, as the ‘Universe Boss’ also caught two catches and dismissed David Miller and Tabraiz Shamsi.
Dale Steyn was one of the many impressed cricketer with the effort of Gayle and tweeted, calling ‘coolest cricketer alive’. “Chris Gayle is the coolest cricketer alive,” he tweeted. Chris Gayle’s effort came as the final laugh for the West Indies team as they won the game by 21 runs against South Africa to tie the series at 2-2. Lendl Simmons scores 47 runs while the captain Kieron Pollard smashed a half century off just 25 balls with the help of 2 fours and 5 sixes. West Indies were able to score 167/6 in 20 overs.
While South Africa was chasing the target they were never able to make a comeback in the game. Quinton de Kock scored 60 runs off 43 balls. But other than him no other batsman could make a valuable contribution to the chase. Aiden Markram, Miller, and Kagiso Rabada were the only players who could score above 10 and South Africa was stopped at 146/9 in 20 overs.
