Royal Challengers Bangalore’s season ended with the loss on Monday against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Eliminator. Now Brian Lara picks three players which RCB should retain for next year.
One more year ended and the dream to win the first IPL Cup till continues. Bangalore’s team showed the potential to be a top side in the league. But unfortunately ended messing up in the do or die match which resulted in their elimination.
This was even the last IPL for Virat, the Captain and from next season he will play as a pure batsmen. And looking at next year IPL, the teams will be allowed to retain only a certain number(mostly 3) of players and rest all the players will go under the hammer in the mega auction.

Brian Lara picks three players which RCB should retain
Brain Lara, former West Indies Cricketer had suggested that the RCB management should retain the consistent players. He added that RCB should not retain Ab de Villiers for the upcoming IPL as he think that Ab de Villiers had underperformed in this IPL.
In his opinion, Rcb should retain Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell and Devdutt Padikkal. He thinks that Maxwell has delivered as he was instructed by the management and the franchise. Vieat Kohli is a run away match winner and Devdutt for his contribution for the team at the top order.
Ab de Villiers Ipl performance 2021 .
Ab de Villiers performance have been below par this season specially in the second (UAE) leg. During the India leg, Ab de Villiers scored 207 runs in 7 innings and he ended this season by just adding 106 runs.
It would be interested to see that which players RCB retain for the next year. They also have current purple cap holder, Harshal Patel and a prime spinner in form of Chahal.
