Bipul Sharma’s IPL journey
Kings XI Punjab(Punjab Kings) was the first team to pick Bipul Sharma in the 2010 season. He played four seasons for them but unfortunately didn’t get a long run to establish himself and ended up getting dropped from their roster for the 2014 season.
In those 4 seasons (2010-2013) for the Kings, he played only 15 games. He got to bat 9 times and was able to score 104 runs and got to bowl in 12 innings where he picked 8 wickets.
After an average season with Kings XI Punjab, he was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2015 season where he came in as a late replacement for injured Laxmi Shulka.
In 2015, he played 4 matches but wasn’t able to make an impact on performance in those chances. But in 2016 he played a key role in making Sunrisers Hyderabad champions as he played 7 matches in that season and out of those 7 games,3 appearances were in knockout games.
His performances included 27 off 11 balls in the eliminator against Kolkata Knight Riders as well as taking the crucial wicket of AB de Villiers in the final, which was a big wicket in the high-pressure final. Bipul Sharma finished his IPL career with a record low dot ball percentage (26.83%).

In his IPL stats, he played 33 games in which we scored 187 runs at a strike rate of 152.03 and also picked 17 wickets at an economy of around 8.
Bipul Sharma will play for the United States of America in the future. In fact, in 2020 he signed, a contract to play for Formby in the UK but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the contract was delayed.
