Australian Pacer James Pattinson Retires From Test cricket ahead of Ashes 2021-2022
The Australian Pacer after his match-winning performances in the Domestic Cricket was being called up by the National Team. In late 2017 it got to the point where Pattinson required the same lower spine surgery that New Zealand quick Shane Bond had to try and extend his career. He returned to the game in 2018-19 and had a superb summer for Victoria which eventually led to a place in the 2019 Ashes squad.
He would only get a Chance where the lead pace attack of Australia was not available or injured. Due to this, the Pacer lost his Motivation to get up and play.

In a Recent Interview on him being asked about stepping down from the national team and enjoying Domestic games the pacer replied, ‘The hardest part as you get older is that you want to try and enjoy your cricket as well. You put all your attention into playing cricket for Australia and at some stage, that finishes,”
As he Showed his Unavailability in the Upcoming ashes there are chances of other pacers like Michael Neser, Sean Abbott, Steketee getting a call up from the National Team.
