The Dasun Shanaka-led Sri Lankan team squared off against Babar Azam-led Pakistan in the Final of Asia Cup 2022. The much-anticipated encounter occurred at the renowned Dubai International Stadium of UAE with the game commencing at 7:30 PM Indian Time.
Young team Sri Lanka clinched the prestigious Asia Cup 2022 title by getting the better of Pakistan in the high-octane Final. It was a clinical performance by the Sri Lankan unit in both the departments despite a horrible outing in the initial hour of the encounter with the bat.
Sri Lanka entered the highly competitive tournament as underdogs and shocked the cricketing fraternity with a dream outing. On the other hand, The Pakistani team would have themselves to blame. The Men In Green failed to cope up with the pressure and were unable to deliver when it was needed the most.
Ramiz Raja Snatches Indian Journalist’s Phone
Meanwhile, A staggering video of Ramiz Raja snatching an Indian reporter’s phone is doing rounds on social media. The former Pakistan Cricketer is the current chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board and was spotted attending the Asia Cup Final along with several other officials from the venue itself.
The incident happened after the Indian Journalist named Rohit Juglan tried to take his reaction after Pakistan’s defeat while Raja was attending the press. The 60-year-old was not impressed with the question and in return mocked the journo. The PCB chief crossed the line when he was spotted trying to snatch the phone of the journalist.

“Aap India se honge? Aap to bade khush honge? (Are you from India? You must be very happy then?)” responded Raja.

Team Pakistan is left with plenty of worries ahead of the T20 World Cup 2022. Two premier bowlers of the team namely Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shahnawaz Dahani are struggling with injuries, which is certainly a matter of concern heading into the multi-national tournament next month.
