After the decision of Virat Kohli to step down as T20I Captain. many reports had come up against Virat which states that the few senior players were not happy with Skipper Virat. On September 16, Virat Kohli has announced that he will step down as T20I captain. After the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup which is scheduled to take place in the UAE and Oman starting October 17.

A couple of days ago a report, about Ravichandran Ashwin Revolted Against Virat Kohli And Complained To The BCCI and now two senior cricketers had raised the matter with Jay Shah, the Honorary Secretary of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), over the harsh treatment they received. It happened after India’s eight-wicket loss to New Zealand in the final of the World Test Championship at the Rose Bowl back in June.

If reports are to be believed true, Virat Kohli pulled up Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane inside the dressing room. the incident seemed to have given rise to a big problem.

Reports stated that the two batters called Jay Shah personally after which the BCCI had to intervene. They even asked for feedback from some of the other cricketers as well. Speculations are also rife that the BCCI would take a call of Kohli’s future as India’s ODI skipper after the World Cup in the UAE, the New Indian Express reported.
What was Virat told after the WTC Final Performance?
After India’s defeat, Virat had talked about not letting the bowlers build pressure on the batters. He said that the batters have to find ways to score runs to stamp their authority.
“If you don’t put their bowlers under pressure then they have the fitness and the consistency to bowl long spells and keep bowling all day in the same areas and trouble you, and the more momentum you give them, then invariably they get the breakthroughs they want,” Virat was quoted as saying after the match.
“The mindset has to be to score runs and find ways to score runs. You can’t be too worried about getting out because you are [then] bringing the bowler into the game completely,” he added.
Pujara and Rahane’s performance in WTC and England tour
In 9 Innings Rahane had scored 173 runs at an average of just around 19 which includes only one fifty whereas Pujara had played 10 innings in which he had scored 250 runs at an average of 25 which includes 2 fifty.
