The full-fledged Indian team registered a significant victory over Australia yesterday (September 25) in the T20I series decider. The experienced side delivered under a lot of pressure, displaying clinical performance in both departments. The triumph in the all-important game at Hyderabad marked a remarkable series win for Rohit Sharma-led India.
The series between defending champions Australia and No. 1 ranked India certainly lived up to its hype. The series will be remembered for the sensational comeback of Men In Blue. The star-studded team looked determined throughout the course of the series even after facing an embarrassing defeat in the series opening encounter.
Surya Kumar Yadav is dangerous batsman in T20I world cup
Meanwhile, Current Australian head coach Andrew McDonald has made some big statements about star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav during the post-series Press Conference. McDonald heavily praised Yadav for his match-winning half-century in the series decider.
The 41-year-old believes that ‘dangerous’ Suryakuamr Yadav can be an asset for the national side and a threat to the opposition in the upcoming T20 World Cup. McDonald concluded things off by praising a couple of other Indian all-rounders namely Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel.
Here’s what Andrew McDonald said:
“We encourage our guys to make good decisions and execute them. Sometimes the batter out-executes you and we’ve seen that with Hardik (Pandya) throughout the series. Suryakumar Yadav was outstanding today and he’s gonna be dangerous in the World Cup but he showed what he can do.”
“Axar Patel, in particular, had an outstanding series. With Jaddu out everyone thought that it might become a bit of a weakness for India, but they’ve found another one again, which tends to happen.”
What’s next for team India:
After a quick turnaround, Team India will face David Miller-led South Africa in the much-anticipated T20I series. The three-match home series starts on September 28 while October 4 will mark the conclusion of the series. It will be India’s final assignment before the upcoming T20 World Cup.

Very good from India. Lots of batting intent in that India vs Australia contest. Great to watch. . Suryakumar Yadav (SKY) has to be one the most phenomenally versatile batsmen in this format.

That dazzle in the night sky was Suryakumar Yadav playing another ridiculously audacious and skilful innings. You would be hard pressed to pick one shot from this innings but if I had to, it would be the one over long off against Sams.
